  • Replaces dial gages on older pitot static testers
  • Immune to pressure surges
  • Withstands 250%FS overpressure
Typical Applications:

The Model 6450 is typically used in Instrument Repair facilities for the calibration of Altimeters, VSI's, Airspeed, Mach and EPR indicators. The unit requires an external pressure and vacuum source as well as metering valves or regulators to control the pressure / vacuum. Those requiring automated control usually upgrade to the Model 6500.

The three displays on the 6450 display altitude, climb and airspeed. Most older pitot static testers have dial gages that indicate the same three parameters. Therefore, this instrument is frequently used to replace the dial gages on the older pitot static testers. The testers usually have a built-in pressure and vacuum source as well as the regulators for control. It then becomes very convenient to pneumatically connect the 6450 in place of the dial gages and get the accuracy and reliability of the digital system.

The 6450 features RS232 and IEEE-488 interfaces which allow it to be used in an automated setup. All functions available on the front panel can be controlled remotely through one of these interfaces.
